Thai Flying Club

The Thai Flying Club is located in Bang Phra, Chonburi, Thailand which is about 30 minutes North of Pattaya. The club has over 300 hundred members with over 40 aircraft. The aircraft include Cessnas, various Mooneys, various Socata, multiple Pipers, several Grummans, a Robin, a Grob 109, an O-1 Bird Dog, and most recently an Extra 300! The club currently offers for rent and instruction Cessna 150's, a Piper Cherokee 140, and a Grumman Cheetah. In the near future, we hope to offer one high-performance single-engine aircraft as well. Instructors are available for local flights (training or just sightseeing) as well as cross country flights.

The Bang Phra Airfield is convenient to Bangkok as well as Pattaya and despite what you may think, flying in Thailand is easy and not very expensive. A Cessna 150 rents for approximately $65 per hour. Granted, it's not the "fire it up and fly away" freedom of the USA but it can be done and in a matter of days, you can have solo privileges. The club has recently received approval from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Department of Aviation to be a private pilot flight school. The school is certified under ICAO regulations. If you have time, you can get your private pilot license with us!

There is inexpensive lodging and nearby and the beach is less than 45 minutes away. The club is located within five minute of three world class golf courses. There's a lot of scenery and history to enjoy in Thailand. Why not see it from the air?
